Home / gay topics / Dupont circle gay clubs

Around the corner from Number Nine, this laid-back hotspot serves famously strong drinks, has drag shows and theme nights, and boasts a large back patio with a smoking area.

Weekends get wild, and there’s almost always a line by 11 PM—so come early. This airplane themed lounge has become one of DC's hottest dance clubs.

Our happy hours are quite popular and nighttime gets even busier with djs playing music videos on the second floor. We have been open and and serving the LGBTIQIA community since 2010. The Big Hunt is also a go to place for football sundays. They also have some great food selections including $.15 cent wings on Tuesdays and 1/2 pizzas and free pool on Mondays.

Our cocktail menu is quite extensive with over 20 brands of vodka and multiple types of Mojitos. And you can redeem your receipt for your free drink until 8pm.
This is good for any drink...from our signature mojitos to martinis to beer to wine...everything.

Monday Night is Show-tunes where they show clips from stage and movie musicals on all the screens. Walk around and you'll see little airplane windows with blue sky and clouds in the background, the bartenders all wear sexy stewardess outfits and you can help yourself to little peanut packets at the bar. With the migration of gay bars moving from Adams Morgan to Shaw and U Street, the ladies have been lost in the shuffle.

Apex's two levels has 7 bars, great music such as the top 40, house, electro house and hip hop and a chill lounge. The Pitchers family knows we need to extend the love, and give the gals a space to the enjoy just like the boys have had for years.
